Jake Shane’s Broadway Debut Adds to His Impressive Resume

If you’ve been following Jake Shane’s absolutely meteoric rise over the past couple of years, you already know this man does not miss. But his latest career move? It’s genuinely unhinged in the best possible way.

The 26-year-old TikTok star, podcaster, comedian, and all-around chaos agent is officially making his Broadway debut, and honestly, it feels like watching your favorite group chat member suddenly become a legitimate star.

From viral TikTok videos to the Great White Way

Here’s the headline that has the internet collectively losing it: Jake Shane is joining the cast of All Out: Comedy About Ambition, and he’ll be sharing the stage with actual Hollywood legends.

We’re talking Ray Romano, Nicholas Braun (yes, Cousin Greg from Succession), and Jenny Slate. All four of them are making their Broadway debuts together starting Feb. 17, and the run continues through March 8.

Let that sink in for a second. The same Jake Shane who was making unhinged TikToks in 2023 is now standing alongside Emmy winners and comedy icons on a Broadway stage. The crossover between influencer culture and traditional entertainment has never felt more real—or more exciting.

The current cast of All Out—which includes Sarah Silverman, Heidi Gardner, Jason Mantzoukas, and Craig Robinson—is appearing now through Feb. 15. So if you’re planning to catch Jake’s run specifically, mark your calendars for that Feb. 17 start date.

What is ‘All Out: Comedy About Ambition’ about?

For those wondering what Shane signed up for, All Out: Comedy About Ambition is written by Simon Rich

It’s described on the show’s website as “a group of the funniest people on earth gather on Broadway (four at a time) to read hilarious stories by Simon Rich about ego, envy, greed, and basically just New Yorkers in general.”

The show features original music performed by Grammy-nominated soul-pop band Lawrence, adding another layer of entertainment to what sounds like an absolutely stacked production.

It’s essentially a rotating showcase of comedy talent, which makes it the perfect format for someone like Jake to make his Broadway entrance without the pressure of carrying an entire traditional theatrical production.

All Out serves as a companion piece to All In: Comedy About Love, which began production in December and will close on Feb. 16—just one day before Jake’s cast rotation begins.

One notable casting change: Ashley Park, who was originally cast in the second rotation of the show, has dropped out due to scheduling conflicts, per Deadline. While that’s disappointing for Ashley Park fans, it opened the door for Jake Shane’s Broadway moment.

If you’ve been a day-one Therapuss listener, you’ve witnessed this entire journey unfold in real time. But for anyone who needs a refresher on just how quickly Jake Shane went from “guy on your For You Page” to “Broadway performer,” let’s break it down.

Jake burst onto the scene in 2023 with his viral TikTok videos—the kind of chaotic, deeply relatable content that made you feel like you were hanging out with your funniest friend. His ability to connect with audiences through a screen translated into something much bigger when he launched his Therapuss podcast in January 2024, per Variety.

The podcast wasn’t just successful—it was a phenomenon. Therapuss reached No. 3 on Spotify’s Top Comedy Podcasts chart following its premiere, per People. For a brand-new podcast from a creator who had primarily built his audience on short-form video, that kind of chart performance signaled that Jake’s appeal extended far beyond 60-second clips.

Then came the music. In November 2024, Jake released his debut studio album and debut comedy album, Puss & Poems. Because apparently being a viral content creator, successful podcaster, and emerging actor wasn’t enough—he needed to add “recording artist” to the resume too.

Shane’s live tour and acting career heats up

Following the album release, Jake announced a 35-city, 36-date tour, Live With Jake Shane, in 2025, per Deadline.

The tour demonstrated something important: Jake’s audience isn’t just people scrolling on their phones. They’re fans willing to buy tickets, show up in person, and experience his comedy live. That kind of dedicated fanbase is exactly what Broadway producers look for when casting shows.

But Broadway isn’t even the only major acting news on his radar.

Shane appeared in three episodes of the fourth season of Hacks in 2025. For those unfamiliar, Hacks is the critically acclaimed HBO Max comedy that has won multiple Emmy Awards.

The actor is also set to appear in the feature film Wishful Thinking, which premieres in March, per IMDB

And perhaps the biggest news for long-term Jake Shane fans: On Nov. 4, Variety reported that Shane will star in a Hulu comedy about his life, which will be produced by Hacks writer Genevieve Aniello

If you’re hoping to catch Jake’s Broadway run, tickets for All Out are on sale now. Given Jake’s dedicated fanbase and the limited run from Feb. 17 through March 8, these tickets are likely to move fast.
