Weight Loss Tips Made Easy

A good tip when starting a weight loss meal plan is to have a food diary. In the diary you record everything that you eat, what you where doing and how you felt. This helps to show you your temptations and all the emotional states which encourage you to snack. When you start to get hungry, wait ten or so minutes before eating. Try to avoid sugary foods, as they tend to make you want more. Always get plenty of sleep. Make sure to eat something before you go food shopping and you will be able to resist the junk that often finds its way into your cart.

Always drink between 6-8 glasses of water per day. As water dulls the appetite, making you feel fuller for longer. If you’re a late night eater, have a few slices of bread or some crackers, as carbohydrates help cut the cravings down. Have a glass of water or a piece of orange by your bed for those hunger pains during the night. If food is used as a reward, come up with a new reward system.

Have a weigh in at least once a week around the same time, as your weight fluctuates constantly. Never weigh your self at night time as you may way more than you did earlier during the day. Always eat from your own plate, even if you have to have a special plate. Try arranging the food on your plate, no matter how small the amount may seem and make it look lovely. Using this trick can help you pay more attention to what you are eating.

Never shop when you are hungry, as you may be tempted to buy fattening foods. Always avoid fatty liquids and finger food. Make sure you always have crunchy snacks eg. Raw vegetables or crackers lying around, so that when you get tempted to stray off of your weight loss meal plan you can just snack on those crunchy snacks. Salads are one of the best foods for losing weight. These are high in fiber and will keep you satisfied and full longer.

Always lose weight for yourself and not to please your husband, parents or your friends. Always eat your meals at the table and never sit in front of the TV. Always eat every mouthful slowly and savor each and every bite. Never skip a meal but try to only eat 3 meals a day.

Remember, always write down everything you eat – everything – this includes what you taste when you cook. If you monitor what you eat, you can’t go off your diet.
