Best Skin Care Tips for 3 Types of Skin
Best skin care requires proper knowledge about one’s skin and it expects the right regimes to be followed. Skin types can be categorized into 3 different categories. They are dry skin, oily skin, and combination skin.
Best Skincare for dry skin
Dry skin cannot retain moisture and looks dull and feels tight. The causes of dry skin can be genetic, a diet that lacks vitamins A and B, environmental reasons like pollution, heat, cold, etc, diabetes, and intake of certain drugs. It requires gentle and thorough care. Harsh skin products which contain alkaline, strong chemicals and excessive oil must be avoided.
Though soap is not recommended, baby soap and natural or herbal ones are considerably better. After cleansing each time, the skin should be soothed with moisturizers. Exfoliating skin with a mild scrub and exfoliating cream should be done to remove dead and dry cells. Diet should include plenty of water, food containing vitamins A and B, fruits and vegetables with good moisture value, yellow or orange vegetables, yogurt, etc. Eating fried and junk foods, soft drinks, sugar, potato chips, alcohol, chocolates, and caffeine must be avoided.
Best Skincare for oily skin
Oily skin looks coarse and shiny. It suffers from pimples, blemishes, enlarged pores, and blackheads. Oiliness in the skin is caused due to humidity, cosmetics, diet, hormone levels, and heredity. This type of skin requires proper cleansing, scrubbing, and exfoliating.
Oil-free moisturizers will give a shine-free complexion. Heavy cleansing creams should be kept away. The skin should always be kept clean by washing it two to three times. Hot water can be used for washing.
Diet for oily skin includes rich proteins, fresh fruits, green vegetables, vitamin b2, whole grains, whole rice, beans, black beans, and plenty of good quality water to keep skin hydrated. Avoid animal fats, fried and seasoned items, pork, sugar, junk foods, chocolates, alcohol, and soft drinks. Smoking should be avoided as it enlarges the pores. Mild soap should be used. Astringent toner is good for oily skin. Light or water-based moisturizers are beneficial too.
Best Skincare for combination skin
It is the combination of both oily and dry skin. Skin is divided into two types. The area of the nose, chin, and forehead is generally oily which is also called as “T” zone. The areas near the eyes, mouth, and cheeks are dry. Combination skin is caused due to hormonal factors such as stress, period problem, etc. The mild cleanser should be used twice daily.
A good moisturizer should be used for dry areas. A balanced diet is a keyword for combination skin. It must be noted that neither oiliness nor dryness is generated in the skin, as both can be harmful. Skincare products recommended for combination skin should only be applied on the skin. Anti-bacterial soap should be used in summer to avoid problems in the t-zone.
Toner should be gentle but do not use in the dry zone. Exfoliate the oily zone only. Gel masks are suitable for combination skin. Also, a different mask for different areas can be used.
