Dad Buys Shed From Garage Sale, Stops Cold When He Discovers Message On Wall 

The Engravings 

Devin’s eyes were wide and bloodshot as he stared at the small screen before him. He was hesitant to dial the number. He felt like he’d gone mad since finding the engravings on the wall.

He had never been the type to believe in ghosts, but since purchasing the shed, he’d changed his mind. Too many unexplainable things had happened. He had to speak to the original owner of the shed. 

A New Shed

When Devin Matthews first purchased the shed, he was over the moon. He’d wanted one for years, and now, he finally had one. He wanted to store all of his tools inside of it. 

With a little help from his neighbors, he was able to remove it from the trailer and place it in his backyard. It wasn’t in the best condition, but Devin was looking forward to fixing it up.

Cleaning Up

He spent that entire afternoon cleaning the small space. According to the previous owner, it was kept on an abandoned property for many years, and it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. 

Devin got it for a steal, which was why he didn’t mind the state of it. He was excited to revamp it and to get all of his equipment set up. He’d always been pretty talented with DIY projects, and now, he had the perfect place to do them. 

Taking A Break

The sun had started setting when Devin finally decided to take a break from his hard work. He was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to have dinner, watch some TV, and go to bed. 

He collected all of his cleaning supplies and began carrying them into his house. He couldn’t wait to get back to work in the morning. But he had no idea that his evening was about to take a turn.

Before Dark

Once all of the cleaning supplies were put away, Devin planned to start dinner. But that was when he realized that he’d left his phone in the shed. He decided to go out and get it before it got too dark.

He left the house without a worry in the world and quickly made his way to the back corner of his yard, where he had placed the shed. That’s when he noticed it.

Confusion 

He paused in his footsteps, confused as he stared at the shed. He could have sworn that he closed the door when he left just a few minutes ago. But now, it was wide open. 

Devin thought that it was strange. He had to investigate. Had someone gone in there? He took slow, hesitant steps closer to the shed, but there was no one inside. 

He Saw Something 

He quickly grabbed his phone from the floor, desperate to get out of there. Suddenly, in the dim light, the shed seemed almost creepy to him. But just as he was about to head for the door, something caught his eye.

He hadn’t noticed the writing on the wall before. He slowly crept closer, curious by the blue scribble. He squinted down at it, but as soon as he read what it said, he made a run for it. 

Living His Best Life

As a single man, Devin Matthews lived a carefree life in Jackson, Mississippi. During the week, he worked as a manager at a local Walmart, and over the weekends, he did whatever he felt like.

Usually, his weekends were spent at nice restaurants with friends, or maybe even a solo trip to the movies. He always made sure to fill his weekends with fun things to do.

The Garage Sale

But one Saturday morning, Devin’s entire life changed. He had heard about the garage sale in a neighboring neighborhood, and he couldn’t wait to go. He was on the lookout for some new tools.

But as soon as he showed up at the sale, he noticed the large shed in the man’s front yard. He was completely enamored by it. The owner noticed him staring. 

The Shed

“She’s a beauty, isn’t she?” He spoke from behind Devin. When he turned to face the older man, he smiled enthusiastically, “Yeah, she sure is. How much is she?”

But when the old man gave him a price, he couldn’t believe his ears. Why on earth was it so cheap? “It’s a little run down and old, which is why the price is so low,” The man explained. Davin had to have it. 

Over The Moon

The shed was so cheap that Devin was able to pay in cash right away. He was over the moon with excitement. He’d wanted a shed for years at this point. He needed a place to do all of his DIY projects. 

He dialed one of his neighbors, John, who owned a large trailer. Luckily, he was willing to help Devin transport the shed back to his house.

Taking It Home 

Before long, John was there to help Devin grab the shed. With the help of a bunch of men, they were able to lift it onto the trailer and take it home. On the ride home, Devin couldn’t wipe the smile from his face.

With a little help from his neighbors, he was able to remove it from the trailer and place it in the back corner of his backyard. It wasn’t in the best condition, but Devin was looking forward to fixing it up.

Clean Up

That afternoon, Devin spent his time cleaning the small space. According to the old man, it was kept on an abandoned property for many years, and it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. 

It was covered in dust and cobwebs, and there was a sizable hole in the floor. Devin was excited to revamp it. He wanted to rebuild some of it and coat it in varnish. 

Hard Work

Before long, the sun had started setting. Devin knew that it was time to take a break from his hard work. He was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to have dinner, watch some TV, and go to bed.

Davin had just started making dinner when he realized that he didn’t have his phone on him. He realized that he’d left it in the shed. He had to go out and get it before it got too dark.

He left the house without a worry in the world and quickly made his way to the back corner of his yard, where he had placed the shed. That’s when he saw it.

Wide Open
