Divinity II Maiden flight, a success!
Well, nerves aside, I launched Divinity II this evening just before dark. I had no idea where the center of gravity was to be on this wing as I never did the math, but had a general idea and went with it. Upon launch Divinity II displayed a slight tail heavy symptom as there was a small loss in control authority, reducing throttle allowed the nose to drop and helped me regain precise control. I have since added a temporary 7 gram sticky weight to the nose and will try again. At low throttle Divinity II is a real dream to fly and my worries about losing any slow flight capabilities have diminished. Divinity II still retains the same qualities of my original Divinity wing. Now on to tweaking things, I need to fine tune my differential and once finished install my video equipment. I am certain that Divinity II will carry a camera for still pictures or smaller video equipment with no issues. With video equipment installed I should have an AUW of 20 ounces or less depending on choice of batteries, for both Divinity II and the camera system.
I hope you have enjoyed this video as much as I have in bringing it to you.
Stay tuned ,there will be more surprises from this end.
Thank you, Mr. Dick Kline
