It was common for them to see wildlife in these areas, but he had never encountered anything like this before. His eyes drifted towards his friends, he wondered if they knew what to do. He assumed that none of them had been in this situation before, either. But they all knew that they couldn’t just leave, they had to do something and they had to act fast. Despite having lived in a rural community for a long time, neither he nor his friends had any idea of what they were about to face. The road they were driving on rarely had any traffic as it bordered the woods. They were chatting and having a good time. Then, suddenly, Steve slammed on the brakes.
