He was taken aback by the owl’s elegance as soon as he saw it. But then he noticed something about the owl’s foot that he hadn’t detected before entering the water. As frightened as he was, he knew he had to save the animal even if it put him in danger. Jonah moved his hand slowly towards the owl, but there was one glaring detail that he had overlooked that would change everything.
