It is true that you will lose weight by choosing healthier foods that have more fiber like grains, fruits and vegetables. But eating a lot of those healthy foods can definitely make you gain weight, too.
2. Rewarding yourself with a big slice of chocolate cake after losing 3 pounds. – You have been walking everywhere, eating healthier and being more careful in your food choices. So for the first week of your sacrifices, you lost a couple of pounds. Since you did a lot of hard work, you feel like you need to give yourself a treat. So the first thing that comes to mind is a kind of food that you have been trying to stay away for days. You promised yourself that you are only going to have one slice of chocolate cake. But after finishing your first slice, you are most likely to feel that you would want and deserve some more. Most people think that if they were able to stay away from certain kinds of foods for days, it will be easier to do it again. But guess what? Once you started to give in to your cravings, it becomes more difficult to stay away from them next time.
3. “I have achieved my ideal weight so it is okay if I won’t go to the gym anymore, it’s just a waste of money.” – Once you have lost the excess pounds by exercising, it is very important for you to continue doing the exercise routine that helped you lose weight, if not upgrade your exercise routine. If you stop working out, you will definitely gain a lot of weight. Your body is used to the physical activity that you do every day and it is expected that you will burn a certain number of calories so if you won’t work out, your usual calorie intake will not be burnt.
