Mauritius is undeniably a treat to anyone looking for a grand holiday getaway. To start with, the island has magnificent beaches and lush tropical greenery. Together with spa services, the Mauritian waters are the primary magnets of people who take all inclusive Mauritius vacation. Then, the people have rich history and diverse cultural heritage. And being one of the world’s best holiday destinations, it can be readily accessed through several airlines servicing the area and modern conveniences are likewise available.

Exploring the northern part of Mauritius is being a witness to both modern and historical places.

In the north, one can visit the Grand Bay, which was the first area of the island to fully experience the flourishing tourism industry. Grand Bay is a shopping and leisure haven, where both tourists and Mauritian locals go for a night-out in restaurants, bars and Discos.

Another place to go in the north is the Balaclava Ruins, which is just a few meters away from the Baie aux Tortues. Seventeenth century sailors gave the area its name because many tortoises were found in there. Amidst the ruins of the old Balaclava estate, visitors will see the sea walls. Mahé de Labourdonnais laid down the initial foundations of these walls.

The Triolet Shivala is also located in the north. Triolet is the longest village on the island and this is where the biggest Hindu temple can be found. Called the Maheswarnath and built in 1819, the temple was made in honor of the Shiva, Krishna, Muruga, Brahma and Ganesha.

Finally, an all inclusive Mauritius trip can be done through mountain biking and hiking to the Labourdonnais Orchards will showcase a large and varied array of tropical fruit trees and sweet-smelling lovely flowers.
