I used to cringe at the thought of having an all out Belgian breakfast... while ...

I used to cringe at the thought of having an all out Belgian breakfast… while at the same time LONGING for it.

🍳In between ‘trying my best’ and calorie counting, I felt like there were good meals and bad meals. I wasn’t aware of this I think.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🥕But I was always trying to be leaner and as a result restricting my caloric intake. Never in a scary low way, but in a way that was definitely too low for what I needed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍅Because I was always restricting, I was always craving. I thought my ‘diet’ could definitely not be the case for my tendency to overeat, because I couldn’t even stick to my diet for long enough!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🥑Later on I discovered how to forgive myself, trust myself more and eat in a more balanced way. Balance might be the most unsexy word in the universe, but it’s what got me to finally discover an enjoyable guilt-free way of eating.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍯Not being food obsessed seemed impossible. Not guilttripping over an evening of eating way too much seemed impossible. Eating just one cookie and actually NOT craving more seemed impossible.

🌶Why am I telling you this? I want you to know you can discover a path without food obsession, allowing you to eat your favorite foods while feeling great mentally as wel as physically.

🍎I know you might think it’s impossible. But it is POSSIBLE. Trust me, because I’ve been there. Your life doesn’t need to revolve about dieting and food and weightloss. Your life needs to revolve about you being your happiest, strongest YOU possible.
