Millions of us are still struggling to lose fat, trying one new diet after another, new diet pills, prescription pills, or the latest killer star-studded exercise CD. The thing we need to remember is that we are all built differently, not only on the outside but also chemically, on the inside. And at the end of the day, while most of us might have been successful on our new fab diet for a while, others are busily gaining their weight back, maybe even more. Why? Because we need to stop dieting! Dieting is making us fatter. Dieting is for losers! Is it possible that we love to keep pounding away at our self-esteem; or are we addicted to dieting?
Trying Dr. Atkins in high school, the grapefruit diet, the cabbage soup diet (I can’t believe I saw a recipe today for the cabbage soup diet), salads only diet, even plain old starvation. Detoxifying our bodies with pills to cleanse our colon, but at the same time diuretics are removing vital fluids. Starvation never worked for anyone and it is still as dangerous as it was before.
Some of us got into real trouble, maybe even close to death and didn’t have a choice except to opt for the more dangerous surgery or we might die. We can get our stomachs stapled, or even get our fat sucked out. These procedures are dangerous, invasive, and extremely painful. Not a very good fat fix for those of us who still have some control over our own fat loss. Unless our life is in imminent danger, we’d better take a hard look at what it is we are really trying to accomplish? Remember always, that obesity could actually be our own death sentence.
If it isn’t obesity that gets us, many other illnesses or diseases caused by obesity such as diabetes, heart disease, or cancer will. The list is extensive and just as deadly. It is a sickening vicious circle that we are addicted to. We keep chasing our dreams and goals down a rabbit hole, right after all of our hard-earned money. As a society today, we have been trained like rats to chase after the next best and biggest name for weight loss, no matter the cost.
When we hear the sound of a new pill with ingredients from some far away country that just hit the market, we must try it because it is making us a promise that we might be able to get skinny without exercise! Even Dr. Oz has put his name on the last and latest pill out that have millions already chasing it.
At the age of 56, I have already had a hysterectomy, had my thyroid removed, and then last year an emergency gall bladder removal. So I am wondering if I am in the worst shape of all to even be able to lose weight. The hormones that we are supposed to have working for us in order to lose a single pound? Mine are gone. I can tell you for certain that I will need a great amount of help losing the extra 80 lbs that I need to lose. I will obviously need outside help for which I must insist that it come in the form of organic compounds that support natural weight loss.
You can imagine the relief that I felt when I read “Quit dieting, dieting is for losers, dieting just doesn’t work anymore, or are you addicted to dieting?”. I didn’t feel like such a failure anymore either. Interestingly, my new doctor asked me this very same question just the other day, the one about addiction to dieting and weight loss!
It is important for our body and brain to feel satiated, satisfied, to feel full, to feel happy after we have eaten a meal. We must have those feelings until our next meal. Without those specific feelings, we are doomed to fail again and again. Without those feelings of satisfaction, feelings of being absolutely filled, we will be back in the larder throwing food down the old gullet. Not a pretty picture, I know.
Today, I know that the only thing that made me fat was dieting. I unknowingly kept turning off the switch when I was dieting. Knowing that many scientists, doctors, specialists, and whoever else is involved in the weight loss industry, that they are all very aware that dieting is making people fat! Not just me. but all of us are fat because we are following their recommendations! “Take this pill and you can eat whatever you like, whenever you like, and you don’t even have to exercise”? Do your really believe that statement? I have a bridge and an island in New York to sell you real cheap if you believe it for even a moment.
What those people have done to people like us? makes me so angry, and mad as a wet hen. I sure hope you feel the same way. How much weight have you been able to keep off? Those people know that dieting is making us fat! I know how I feel about that; how do you feel about the fact that these industries claiming to help us are the same people who keep pushing all kinds of diet garbage at us? I am telling them here, now, that dieting is for losers! When my new doctor asked me “are you addicted to dieting”? I didn’t know what to say, honestly.
I have thrown so much money at doctors, pharmaceutical companies, bookstores, magazine distributors, even movie stars, and fitness gurus. All huge industries that make millions of dollars every year off of millions of you and me, looking for that next secret sauce diet.
More good news? There is no secret diet, there is no special sauce, and there is no secret sauce “diet”; dieting doesn’t work. Quit dieting now, today, be done with it. We are killing ourselves with diets. You and I; we need to do something else like change our entire life style! Starting with how we eat.
Enough is enough! Are we ready to accept the reality of how we can change our situation? Just do it and enjoy it, let it be a fun thing, make it happen and stop stressing out about it! I have just begun myself and it is fairly easy because there is no more stress in my life. I am not on a diet anymore and I do not have to diet ever again! I have just changed my whole eating pattern. Now it’s your turn!
The best way and the only way to lose weight is to make sure that we eat; fill our tummy with whole, real, food. Don’t get up in the morning and fill up with cereals, wheat, puffy rice, toast, pancakes, waffles, not even milk based products! It’s nothing but a high protein breakfast and lunch. The kind of protein you eat makes a big difference too so don’t run out and buy a protein powder at your local grocer!
Your dinner must be massive protein and slow carbs. This can be really yummy and doesn’t have to be boring and dull or ugly. Have a glass of red wine with dinner if it is your wish. Good luck and good eating.
