Ozempic and other meds alert ⚠️
Decades of yo-yo’ing with countless methods, finally got the nerve to try medication after another period of wild binging left me back at nearly my highest… feeling resigned to being obese forever. My post history is a years-long testament to my various wins and backslides.
Started Ozempic. Lost 28lbs in 6 months, plateaued, sat there for 6 months despite medication. Bingeing started to come back. Regained a bit. Started to panic.
Eventually I found an exercise method that works for me/my lifestyle (walking pad under my desk, now walk for hours every day while working remotely), weight started falling off again!
Also started an ADD med for my late-in-life diagnosis that explains the hell out of my weird-ass brain… and found out only after that it (Vyvanse) can also be prescribed for binge eating disorder. Cravings have notably decreased along with improved ADD symptoms.
Looking forward to hitting goal weight, but more importantly to feel strong and fit for once (exercise has rarely been a part of my efforts/wins due to not finding the right fit for me)!
Acknowledgment that I’m lucky to be able to afford this medication out of pocket due to living in Canada. Hoping for rampant competition to help bring prices down for anyone who wants to use semaglutide and its sibling meds. 🙏
