The only way ONE day off-track can do that…

Is if you let one day become MANY.

In other words: it’s your mindset. It’s getting on the scale, seeing the spike in weight caused by water retention, and thinking “f*ck it, I f*cked up my progress, so I’m just gonna quit”.

F*ck that. It’s water weight. A normal bodily reaction to overeating. You probably gained around a tenth of a pound of fat, even if the scale is up by 5 or 6 lbs. Rounded to the nearest pound, you gained ZERO pounds.

Look. The progress you’ve made can’t be attributed to how you ate or trained on any one day. It was the result of consistent effort over many weeks and months.

And the same applies to weight gain. It wasn’t how you ate or trained on any one day that caused it. It was the result of many weeks and months of consistently being in a calorie surplus.

So stop giving up after a day off track. Instead, make the conscious choice to get back on track.

Because it IS a choice.

Granted, it can be a f*cking hard choice to make, but it abso-f*cking-lutely is a choice.

I just realized I used the word “f*ck” a lot in this post. I don’t always use it, but sometimes it just forces its way out of my brain and I have no choice. Today was one of those times.

And while I don’t ever set out to offend anyone, I realize I might have done with the language in this post. If that’s the case, you should probably unfollow me to avoid being offended again in the future.
