INTRODUCING THE BUBBA BURGER
There are several varieties of BUBBA burgers, our favorites are the Angus and Original Beef. As I mentioned, we keep our freezer stocked with them. The beef is high quality, completely free of preservatives, and they’re gluten free. You guys know we are always looking for easy to make meals. The BUBBA burger can be taken from the freezer, to the grill and are ready in 10 minutes!! 10 minutes!!!!!! Who doesn’t love that!

BUBBA burgers are so convenient and cook to juicy burger perfection every time! We love to have them on those really busy nights when you have no idea what to make for dinner and you want a stress free meal. I mean, to have a great burger dinner ready in a few minutes is perfect any night!.

Knowing I can pull the burgers out of the freezer and toss them on the grill and they are ready in a few minutes, no mess to clean up, just gives me time to enjoy my guests and the food. ULTIMATE CHILI CHEESE BUBBA BURGER
The Ultimate Chili Cheese BUBBA burger is perfect to have for a week day meal, a party, tailgating or if you just want an “out of this world burger” to enjoy while binge watching your favorite TV shows.
It’s so hard to put into words how good this ultimate chili cheese BUBBA burger is- the juiciness of the burger, the creaminess of the cheese, the pop of the hot dog and then spice from the vegetarian chili will make your taste buds dance!!!
We made homemade Vegetarian Chili (recipe below) that was wonderful with the burgers. When we make chili we usually make more than we will eat. This way, we can freeze the extra and it can be pulled out of the freezer and heated up in the microwave at any time. If you’re having this burger for a party just make the chili a day or two before, or you can always purchase chili to use in this recipe.

GRILLING THE BURGER
As I mentioned, the BUBBA burgers are so easy to make and have a ton of flavor. We use a charcoal grill so it can take a little more time to get the charcoal ready. Once the charcoal is ready or, if using gas, your grill is pre-heated. Place the burgers on the grill. Season the burgers to taste. We like just salt and pepper on a burger. I think it helps maintain the great flavor of the meat. When you start to see juices on the top of the burger flip them. TIP: Never “force” flip a burger or steak. The burger will let you know when it’s ready to be flipped. You’ll know because it will no longer stick to the grill and it should easily flip. You’ll have awesome instagrammable grill marks and the burger will be perfect every time.
Add the hot dogs to the grill on indirect heat. Hot dogs take very little time to cook. Just before taking the hot dogs off the grill, place them over the hot coals. Leave them for 20 or 30 seconds to get those fun grill marks.
When the burgers are done (161 degrees) about 10 minutes. Move the burgers off the direct heat. Add the cheese to the top of the burgers and put the lid down to melt the cheese. We used American cheese but Cheddar, Colby or Monterey Jack Cheese will also work. Really, you can use your favorite cheese.
When the cheese is melted, remove the burgers from the grill. Slice the hot dog vertical and in half. Cutting the hot dog like this ensures it will fit nicely on the bun!
BUILDING THE BURGER
Now the fun part!!!! (really, the whole thing is fun to make but this is the really fun part!) If you’re having a party let everyone build their own burgers. This way people feel like they have helped, they add what they want on the burger and gives you more time to just enjoy your BUBBA burger!!!!
To build the burger 1. Place bun on plate 2. Place burger on bun 3. Add hot dog 4. Add chili 5. Place second burger on top 6. Add a slice of onion 7. Add the top of the Bun 8. ENJOY!!!!
Ultimate Chili Cheese BUBBA burger
Two BUBBA burgers, cheese, chili, a hotdog, and onion slice make an ultimate burger that’s ready in about 15 minutes!
- 8 BUBBA burgers
- 16 Slices American Cheese (or use your favorite cheese)
- 1 Large Onion Sliced
- 4 Hot Dogs / Sausage Dogs We like the ones that have a cheese filling
- 4 Hamburger Buns
- 1 Cup Chili
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 Onion Optional
- Heat gas grill or light charcoal. When grill is hot place the frozen BUBBA burgers on the grill or skillet. Don’t flip it until you see the juices on top.
- Season the burgers with salt and pepper
- Place the hot dogs on the grill. I like to start the hot dog on indirect heat.
- Flip the burgers – Don’t press on the burger. You want to keep all those amazing juices. Cook until the burger reaches at least 161 Degrees.
- When the hot dogs are almost done place them over the direct heat of the grill to get nice grill marks on the hot dogs
- When the burgers reach 161 degrees remove from direct heat and add the cheese. Put the lid down on the grill for a couple of minutes to melt the cheese.
- Remove the burgers and hot dogs from the grill
Build the Ultimate Chili Cheese BUBBA burger
- Place the bottom bun on plate. Add 1 cooked BUBBA burger.
- Cut the hot dogs in half length wise and cut in half.
- Place the sliced hot dog on top of the burger
- Add 1/4 cup of chili on top of the hot dog
- Place second cooked burger on top of the chili
- Add a slice of onion on top of the burger
- Finish the Ultimate Chili Cheese BUBBA burger with the bun top
- ENJOY!!!!!! Serve with French Fries or chips.
